14:30 - 15:45 Annitschka - Homestories from the urban idyll
With her acoustic Jazz project Annitschka the singer Anna-Maria Nitschke invites us on a lyrical journey to the place everything revolves around, HOME. Annitschka stands for playfulness and joy, for shelter and yearning. It is the attempt, to home in on the qualities of life against the Un-Romance of a fast world - The idyll within urbanity. And so Anna-Maria spins her homestories around childhood memories, homesickness, being torn between places and options, loss and gain, doubt and surrender - heading for today’ ease. She is a discreet storyteller with a feeling for nuances and a shining sensual voice that touches. The songs of Annitschka succeed in the symbiosis between gracefulness and groove, between catchiness and the modern colors of Jazz. Not ashamed to show influences of Singer-Songwriter-aesthetics and classical clarity.

Playing with his Trio (with bassist Jakob Rheinländer and drummer Borislav “Bobby” Petrov) Philip has all the freedom to show his skills as a guitarist. His compositions charm with subtle refinement but still leave space for creating unexpected path that the musicians dear to go with an enormous joy.

Is a brand new musical formation. Consisting from 4 international musicians: Spyros Manesis - piano/fender rhodes; Gianni Gagliardi Dell'Agnolo - tenor sax; Sungsu Kim - double bass; Kaspars Kurdeko drums, percussion. The Band was Created in Amsterdam, early 2010. From the very beginning the band’s play was evident with a great musical chemistry and dynamic interplay that led to the idea to continue this project and bring it to the next musical level and challenges. Kaspars Kurdeko who is a band leader, drummer and composer admits that the idea of the band is to develop original compositions that delve into the jazz idiom and as well more experimental try-outs and attest to its quest for sounds and forms of improvisation, which are worth paying attention to. Their music is full of sensitive interplay, diverse grooves that suggests strong melodies and yet “painting” qualities as with the band’s texture of the music and the way it is layered. The quartet is planning to record an album in May 2010 with a follow up tour thru Europe.
21:45 - 23:00 Waisman - Har Event 4tet
A Collaboration of two Israeli musicians at the Amsterdam conservatory brought up a new upcoming band in from of a Quartet. Etay & Eran met in Amsterdam 2007, and since their first day in the C.V.A they are working together in different projects. On their third year of study they both participated in an exchange program between the C.V.A and Temple University, Philadelphia, This unique experience brought them back to the essence of swing based music and gave them the idea to form a band and write original music with a concept of bringing back the sound of old school jazz with new arrangements that meet today’s jazz sound. While studying in United States they both played concerts with artists like: Benny Golson, Terell stafford, Bruce Barth and Sid Simmons, and also had the privilege to study with today’s performing artists like Dick Oatts, John Swana, Ben Schachter and Gerry Smullian.
Today the Waisman/Har-Even Quartet is working on its first debut album together with Drummer Roald Becher and bassist Timothy Roth hopefully to come out in the fall of 2010.
